Clarence Valley Sporting Champions Recognised

Three young athletes from the Clarence Valley Sporting Champions program have received support to continue competing at higher levels of sport.

Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan presented certificates and confirmed grant funding for Braxn Nipperess (touch football), Zaden Nipperess (touch football) and Nash Wall (boxing).

The Local Sporting Champions program assists athletes aged 12 to 18 who represent their regions at state, national or international competitions.

Mr Hogan said the recipients had demonstrated strong commitment and talent while representing the Northern Rivers.

The grants help families cover travel and competition costs, supporting regional athletes pursuing sporting opportunities beyond their local communities.

Mr Hogan also encouraged other young competitors to apply for future funding through the national program.

Sport plays an important role in building confidence, teamwork and healthy lifestyles for young people across the region.
