Remembering Valarie Fay Battistuzzi

A much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Valarie Fay Battistuzzi (nee Crook) will be remembered with great affection by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
Valarie passed away peacefully at Alstonville on 18 August 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the much-loved wife of Cecil and a devoted mother to Judith, Graeme, Margaret (dec.), Marea, Neville and Stephen, and their partners.
At the heart of Valarie’s life was her family. As a cherished Nan to eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, she leaves behind generations who will carry treasured memories of her with them.
Her long life of 86 years was one filled with family, love and the many everyday moments that become especially precious with the passing of time.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Valarie’s life at Guardian Funerals Rainbow Chapel, Rainbow Avenue, Ballina, on Friday, 28 August 2026, commencing at 10am. Following the service, the cortege will proceed to Lismore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 164 Rous Road, Lismore.
In a particularly personal tribute, the family has asked anyone wishing to bring flowers to create a posy from their own garden — a simple and beautiful gesture in Valarie’s memory.
Valarie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever held close in the hearts of her family.
