Cassino Art Gallery will open their annual exhibition, ‘On the Road Again’, in time for the Casino Truck Show.

Gallery President, Maree Beek, said the exhibition will open Saturday 25th July and run until 5th September and offers artists the opportunity to celebrate the trucking industry and Australian ‘s love of travel on our open roads.

“What curious buildings, or vehicles might artists see? What animals or birds might decorate the scene?” Maree said.

Entries rolled in and we are delighted with the variety of approaches artists are taking.

“There is painting, photography, artefacts, and more, from artists young and old,” Maree said.

“We invite everyone to come to the Gallery and travel the open road through the artists’ works.”

Maree said Casino’s new suspension bridge is attracting people who  cross the road and into the Gallery.

“The Cassino Art Gallery connects to our community in exhibitions celebrating Casino Beef Week, NAIDOC Week and The Casino Truck Show.”

“The Gallery started the year with our popular Fibre to Fabric exhibition and will finish the year with our Watercolour Art Prize and On the Small Side.

“We are already planning some exciting additions to our annual program.” Maree said.

“Visitor numbers to the Gallery are increasing every year and 2027 promises to present our most ambitious program to date.”
