Bowls for Our Kids fundraiser at Club Tweed

A barefoot bowls fundraiser at Club Tweed will raise money for children receiving care at Tweed Valley Hospital later this month.

The Bowls for Our Kids event on Thursday, April 23 is hosted by Tweed Community Clubs in support of Our Kids, which funds equipment for paediatric wards across the Northern Rivers.

Teams of four can enter for $100 per team, with a barbecue lunch from 12pm followed by bowls from 1pm. The afternoon will also include live music from Angus Holmes and Curt Luxton and family entertainment including face painting.

Our Kids Fundraising Coordinator Rebekka Battista said the event helps ensure local children can access specialist treatment closer to home.

Funds raised support services including the Emergency Department, Women’s Care unit, Special Care Nursery and Children’s Ward at Tweed Valley Hospital.

Community members and businesses are encouraged to enter teams and support the local fundraiser.
