With Tropical Cyclone Alfred expected to make landfall late Friday, impacting Southeast Queensland and the North Coast of New South Wales, Rural Aid is prepared to provide critical assistance to farmers in affected regions.
Stay Informed & Prepared
As the cyclone approaches, Rural Aid urges farmers to stay informed by regularly checking:
✔ Local council disaster dashboards
✔ Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) updates
✔ Windy.com

These resources offer essential weather forecasts, safety advice, and evacuation procedures. Farmers should take immediate action to ensure they are prepared for the storm’s impact.

Stress can build quickly in disaster situations, making early support essential. Rural Aid provides free, confidential counselling services to help farmers cope during this challenging time.
📞 Rural Aid’s dedicated counselling support line operates Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM AEDT.
