Royale Gold Coast sets new penthouse sales record with $19.568 million deal

The luxury Royale Gold Coast beachfront tower has set another Surfers Paradise record, with a newly released full-floor penthouse selling for $19.568 million, just weeks after the project achieved the highest off-the-plan apartment sale in the precinct’s history.

The latest transaction, for Penthouse 3601 on level 36, follows the earlier $19.18 million sale of the level 35 penthouse, bringing combined penthouse sales at the development to more than $38 million within two months. Together, the sales represent the two highest off-the-plan apartment transactions ever recorded in Surfers Paradise.

The level 36 residence was purchased by a local Gold Coast businessman who had initially secured a half-floor apartment in the tower before upgrading to the full-floor penthouse once construction progress revealed the building’s scale and architectural presence.

TOTAL Property Group Managing Director Adrian Parsons said the upgrade highlighted strong confidence in the project and the broader prestige apartment market.

“Now that the tower is taking shape, buyers are beginning to appreciate the scale, elegance and quality of what’s being delivered,” he said.

“These buyers are Australian, many of them local, and they’re purchasing to live here, not speculate. That’s a powerful vote of confidence in both the product and the Gold Coast market.”

Located on Northcliffe Terrace, Royale Gold Coast is being delivered by developer DD Living, led by property industry veteran David Devine, with construction by Hutchinson Builders and architecture by DKO, alongside interiors by Mim Design.

Mr Devine said the tower’s sculptural elliptical design and premium north-east orientation were carefully planned to maximise natural light and uninterrupted views across the ocean, hinterland and city skyline.

Each penthouse spans more than 660 square metres of combined indoor and outdoor living space and includes a gourmet kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, a glass wine cellar, formal dining for 14 guests and expansive entertaining areas.

Residents will also have access to six-star resort-style amenities, including lagoon pools, a wellness centre with spa and sauna facilities, a yoga terrace and the private Club Royale resident lounge overlooking the beachfront.

Construction of the 38-level tower is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026, with remaining three- and four-bedroom residences priced from $5.46 million.
