Remembering Fay McKinnon
Fay McKinnon (née Minchinton)
26 April 1936 – 27 July 2026
Aged 90 Years
The Northern Rivers community farewells Fay McKinnon, a much-loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life was centred around family and the people she held dear.

Late of Bangalow and formerly of Ballina, Fay passed away peacefully at Byron Central Hospital, aged 90.
A devoted wife to Gavin, Fay was the much-loved mother and mother-in-law of Michelle (dec.), Ian and Julie, Nigel and Maria, Stephanie (dec.), and Ashley and Sari.
Known lovingly as Nanna Fay, she held a special place in the hearts of her 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Across nine decades, Fay built a legacy that will continue through the generations of her family. Her memory will live on through the stories shared, the family gatherings remembered and the many moments that made a long life so meaningful.
As family and friends celebrate Fay’s life, they remember a woman who was deeply loved and whose presence will be greatly missed.
A life well lived, a family deeply loved and memories that will remain forever.
