Breakfast just got a whole lot sweeter, with Gelato Messina and Byron Bay’s own Brookfarm joining forces to create a limited-edition ‘Good Morning, Honey’ breakfast gelato, available in stores nationwide for just one week from Thursday 27 November.
The collaboration reimagines a classic morning staple, transforming Brookfarm’s award-winning Toasted Macadamia Muesli into a creamy, crunchy, any-time-of-day dessert. The flavour blends Messina’s honey gelato — made using Australian Rainforest Honey produced by Northern Rivers Bees — with generous clusters of Brookfarm muesli coated in churned coconut butter to keep every bite crunchy.
Messina promises the flavour will feel like “breakfast in a cup”, delivering a mix of creaminess, nutty undertones and honey-sweet muesli chunks that avoid the dreaded soggy cereal effect.
Brookfarm CEO Will Brook said the partnership celebrates the passion both brands share for quality and Australian ingredients.
“Whether you’re a breakfast lover, a gelato lover or both, we’re confident people are going to fall in love with this flavour,” he said. “Messina has married Brookfarm’s Toasted Macadamia Muesli with local Rainforest Honey perfectly.”
Messina’s Head Creative Chef and co-owner Donato Toce said incorporating muesli into gelato was a first for the brand.
“As soon as the team tasted Brookfarm’s muesli, we knew it would make a great addition to a flavour,” he said.
The release also marks Brookfarm’s 25th anniversary, celebrating the family-owned company’s journey from a rundown dairy farm in the Byron Bay hinterland to a nationally recognised producer of premium muesli, granola, porridge, nut mixes and wholefood bars. Founded in 2000 by Pam and Martin Brook, the business continues to operate from its Byron Bay bakehouse using all-natural ingredients.
‘Good Morning, Honey’ is available at all Gelato Messina stores across Australia from 27 November, for one week only or until sold out.
