Lismore Showgrounds Secures Major New Expo for 2026
Lismore Showgrounds is set to strengthen its reputation as a regional events powerhouse with the announcement of a major new exhibition arriving in August 2026.
The Lismore Outdoor Adventure plus Home & Lifestyle Expo will debut from August 14–16, 2026, bringing a large-scale outdoor recreation and home improvement showcase back to the Northern Rivers for the first time in several years.
Delivered by national organiser Australian Events, the three-day expo will combine caravanning, camping, boating and four-wheel-drive displays with renovation, outdoor living and lifestyle inspiration, creating a broad-appeal event expected to attract both locals and visitors from across the region.
The event forms part of a growing calendar of major exhibitions returning to the Lismore Showgrounds, reinforcing the site’s role as a central hub for regional gatherings and industry showcases.
North Coast National A & I Society President John Gibson said the announcement reflects renewed confidence in Lismore as a destination for large-scale events.
“It’s fantastic to see a major outdoor and lifestyle event return to Lismore,” Mr Gibson said. “The community has always supported these types of events, and bringing something new to the Showgrounds helps reinforce Lismore’s role as a regional events hub.”
He added that the growing schedule of headline events—including Primex Field Days, LisAmore!, Gemfest, Tropical Fruits, and Lismore Speedway—is helping place the city firmly back on the events map.
Australian Events General Manager Aly Ryan said the expo would deliver both a strong visitor experience and meaningful opportunities for businesses to connect with customers.
“Lismore is a strong, community-minded region, and this event brings together everything from outdoor adventure and camping to home styling and renovation,” Ms Ryan said. “We’re looking forward to delivering an event that locals can enjoy and visitors will travel to experience.”
She said the Northern Rivers audience is highly engaged and ready to invest in outdoor recreation and home improvement products, making the expo particularly attractive for exhibitors.
The new event represents another step in the continued revitalisation of the Lismore Showgrounds precinct following recent challenges, while also supporting tourism, regional business activity and community engagement.
With momentum building across the site’s 2026 events calendar, organisers expect the August expo to further strengthen Lismore’s position as a key destination for regional exhibitions and lifestyle experiences across northern New South Wales.
