Lismore School Leaders Recognised at Annual Event

Student leaders from across the Northern Rivers gathered in Lismore for the annual Lismore school leaders event, celebrating their contribution to school communities throughout the Page electorate.

Hosted by Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan, the event brought together hundreds of students, parents and teachers to recognise leadership achievements across the region.

“This is a great opportunity to celebrate the leadership, responsibility and pride our young people show in their schools,” Mr Hogan said.

Guest speaker Scott Jones shared his personal story of resilience, including his recovery from a serious gas explosion in 2017 and his journey to leadership roles in major regional venues such as the Lismore Turf Club.

Mr Hogan said the message of perseverance strongly resonated with students.

“His message about perseverance, leadership and not taking opportunities for granted really resonated with the students in the room,” he said.

The event also acknowledged the support provided by parents, carers and educators in shaping the region’s future leaders.

The annual gathering continues to highlight the strength of youth leadership across Northern Rivers school communities.
