Judy Skimmings Remembered for Her Love, Kindness and Devotion to Family
Family and friends are mourning the passing of Judy Skimmings (nee Bateman), a deeply loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend who died peacefully on 23 August 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Born on 20 March 1942, Judy lived a life centred on the people she loved. Her family meant the world to her, and the affection she shared with each generation created a lifetime of treasured memories.
Judy’s caring nature, warmth and kindness touched the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a constant and much-loved presence within her family, offering a connection that will continue through the stories and memories they share.
A true and loyal friend
Beyond her devotion to family, Judy was a true and loyal friend to many. She brought genuine warmth and friendship into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
Her passing will be deeply felt throughout her circle of family and friends. However, the love Judy gave and the memories she created will ensure she is never forgotten.
Those closest to Judy will remember the time they spent with her, the happiness she brought into their lives and the many moments that made her so special. Although her passing brings enormous sadness, her family will carry her memory with them always.
Judy’s family has also extended a heartfelt and special thank you to the wonderful staff at Whiddon Casino Aged Care. They expressed their gratitude for the kindness, compassion and care shown to Judy.
Celebration and Love of Life
Family and friends are warmly invited to gather for Judy’s “Celebration and Love of Life” service at Simplicity Funerals Casino Chapel, 60–62 West Street, Casino NSW 2470, on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 at 11.30am.
The service will provide an opportunity for everyone who knew and loved Judy to come together, share their memories and celebrate the wonderful woman she was.
It will also be a time to reflect on the love she gave, the friendships she formed and the lasting influence she had upon generations of her family.
Judy Skimmings will be remembered with enormous love and affection. She will be forever loved, forever remembered and very deeply missed.
