Funding Boost for Curryfest Bollywood Express Cabaret

The Curryfest Bollywood Express Cabaret has received a $20,000 funding boost through the Australian Government’s Festivals Australia program, supporting its 20th anniversary celebrations in the Clarence Valley.

Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said the funding would help deliver another vibrant community event showcasing the region’s diversity and creativity.

“This grant ensures Curryfest can deliver another spectacular celebration for its 20th anniversary,” Mr Hogan said.

The cabaret will feature local performers and community leaders presenting a mix of music, dance, storytelling and contemporary performance.

The event will be held at the Wiigulga Multipurpose Centre, providing accessible facilities so the entire community can participate.

Mr Hogan said regional festivals such as Curryfest play an important role in supporting tourism and strengthening community connections across the Northern Rivers.

The project is funded through the Festivals Australia Grant Program 2025–26.
