Perkins Claims Jim Ormond Memorial at Coraki Veterans Golf
A magnificent winter’s morning greeted a strong field of golfers at Coraki Golf Club as 54 players turned out to contest the annual Jim Ormond Memorial Day, one of the club’s most respected events on the veterans’ calendar.
The excellent weather ensured a great turnout, with players enjoying ideal playing conditions while honouring the memory of Jim Ormond in a day of friendly competition and camaraderie.
- Perkinsproduced the best round of the day to claim the prestigious Jim Ormond Memorialtitle, with G. Gibson finishing runner-up and G. Brown taking third place after another competitive contest.
- Bruggywas the recipient of the Free Gameprize.

Attention now turns to next Thursday’s annual return match, with Coraki Veterans travelling to Woodburn-Evans Head Golf Club. Players are reminded that play will commence promptly at 8.00am, and everyone is encouraged to arrive early to avoid missing the start.
Members who are not making the trip to Woodburn will contest a Single Stableford competition at Coraki, with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
