NSW Government Backs Casino Truck Show
A $20,000 State Government grant will help strengthen one of regional Australia’s biggest trucking events as thousands of visitors descend on Casino this weekend.
The 2026 Casino Truck Show has received a significant boost, with the NSW Government awarding $20,000 through its 2026–27 Regional Event Fund to support the continued growth of one of Australia’s premier trucking events.
The funding, secured by Richmond Valley Council through Destination NSW’s Regional Event Fund, will assist with the delivery and promotion of the annual event, which has become a major attraction for both the transport industry and visitors from across Australia.
State Nationals Member for Clarence Richie Williamson announced the successful funding at the Casino Truck Show Sponsors’ Night, praising Richmond Valley Council and the Casino Truck Show Organising Committee for building an event that continues to grow in both size and reputation.
Mr Williamson said the Casino Truck Show has developed into much more than a celebration of Australia’s trucking industry, evolving into one of regional New South Wales’ largest annual events and delivering a tremendous economic boost for accommodation providers, cafés, restaurants, retailers and many other local businesses.
The latest funding will help Richmond Valley Council and the organising committee continue delivering an event that showcases Casino and the Richmond Valley to visitors from across Australia.
The announcement comes as interest in this year’s event reached unprecedented levels, with all 550 truck entry positions filled in less than an hour, highlighting the show’s growing popularity within the Australian transport industry.
Visitors attending this year’s festival can enjoy the popular Friday Night Lights display, the Dawson’s Haulage Street Parade on Saturday, live entertainment, family activities and a vibrant atmosphere throughout Casino.
Mr Williamson said the variety of attractions ensures the event appeals to people of all ages, not only trucking enthusiasts, and encouraged both locals and visitors to attend what has become one of regional Australia’s signature events.
He also acknowledged the dedication of the event’s sponsors, volunteers, businesses and community members whose continued support has helped make the Casino Truck Show one of Australia’s leading regional trucking events.
With record participation and strong government support, the 2026 Casino Truck Show is once again expected to provide a major economic boost to the Richmond Valley while celebrating Australia’s transport industry.
