Police across the Richmond Police District and Tweed Byron Police District are currently aware of one person that has been officially reported missing in flood affected areas.
Should anyone have any concerns over the whereabouts of a person due to flood activity, please contact police directly to make an official report.

Police continue to encourage people within the impacted flood areas to register their movements using the Australian Red Cross ‘Register, Find, Reunite’, as emergency services continue to respond to calls for assistance.
Emergency services have suspended the search for a woman, who went missing after a landslip on the state’s Far North Coast last month.

It is believed the 70-year-old woman was in her home at Upper Wilsons Creek about 4.30am on Monday 28 February 2022, when a large landslide, including soil, debris, rocks and trees from sides of the valley have engulfed the house.

Despite ongoing inquiries, including extensive excavations and searches using specialist resources and equipment, the woman’s body has not been located.
