Changed overnight traffic conditions on Pacific Motorway at Chinderah
Motorists are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions next week on the Pacific Motorway at Chinderah to carry out asphalt resurfacing work on Barneys Point Bridge.
Work involves the removal and replacement of asphalt near the centre of the bridge to reduce noise coming from a bridge joint and provide motorists with a smoother ride.
To minimise impact to motorists, two of the three southbound lanes will be closed from 6pm to 5am on Sunday 6 and Monday 7 June, while two of the three northbound lanes will be closed from 6pm to 5am on Tuesday 8, Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 June. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5am on Friday 11 June.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 30km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists. There will also be occasional closures of up to five minutes of all southbound or northbound lanes.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
