Local training provider Enterprise and Training Company (ETC) has been named the NSW 2023 Large Training Provider of the Year, announced at the NSW Training Awards in Sydney last Friday.

“ETC is honoured to receive this award. It highlights our organisation’s passion and dedication to become a leader in the vocational education and training (VET) sector,” said Mr Munt.

This is the first time ETC has won in the NSW Large Training Provider of the Year category, although they have won the Small Training Provider category on three previous occasions.

ETC offers a range of innovative training solutions, including work preparation courses, School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs), and nationally recognised qualifications through their Registered Training Organisation (RTO 6998).

Mr Munt said ETC specialised in helping disadvantaged learners upskill and increase their employability, by running inclusive training courses that are fun, flexible and grounded in real-world experience so students can learn by doing.

“ETC’s specialised training programs are developed around local skills shortages and high-employing industries, which improves outcomes for ETC’s students,” he said.

Catherine Hull, ETC’s General Manager – Training said, “We are thrilled to be recognised for the hard work our trainers do in our local communities. ETC is committed to empowering people through employment, business growth and skills development.”

“Our aim is to create an outstanding student experience, while meeting employers current and emerging training needs.”

Through their RTO, ETC specialises in accredited training within the Hospitality, Early Childhood Education, Business and Community Services (including Aged Care & Disability) industries.

ETC also offers Workforce Australia training programs – Career Transition Assistance and Self-Employment Assistance.

The company’s vision is to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives and their mission is to strengthen the community through engagement and support.

ETC will now progress to shortlisting for the Australian Training Awards. If successful, ETC will represent NSW at the national event, which will be held in Tasmania in November.
